BREAK

REPAIR SHOP

Brakes are arguably one of the most important parts of a vehicle. Keeping them in good working order should be part of your regular maintenance plan.  Unfortunately, many forget to do this, leading to more severe problems. Trust your vehicle’s brake system to the experts at B-Tech Auto Diesel Mechanic – your safety is our first priority!

The braking system includes brake pads, calipers, and rotors. As a rule of thumb, brake pads should be replaced every 40,000 – 50,000 miles whereas the rotors should be replaced about every 70,000 miles. Of course, there are several factors that affect the life of both brakes and rotors such as driving style, the weight of your vehicle, and the quality of your brakes and rotor parts.

Signs You Have a Brake Problem

Don’t ignore the tell-tale signs of brake problems. If you experience any of these noises or vibrations, bring your vehicle to B-Tech Auto Diesel Mechanic, and we will have your brakes quickly functioning like new.

  • The steering wheel shakes when you apply the brakes.
  • Your vehicle pulls to the right or the left when you apply the brakes.
  • There are grinding noises when brakes are applied.
  • It requires more pressure than normal for the brakes to work properly.
  • There are squealing or squeaking noises when brakes are applied.
  • The brake pedal pulsates when applying the brakes.

Complete Brake  Maintenance Services

Every 12,000 miles, you should have your brakes checked. During this time, we will inspect the brake pads and fluid.

When there is less than an eighth of an inch on the brake pad, you will need to replace them. If the brake fluid is dirty, replace it, so you can have optimum break protection. Most manufacturers suggest changing the brake fluid every 25,000 miles.

B-Tech Auto Diesel Mechanic offers the following brake maintenance:

  • Flushing out old brake fluid and replacing it with new fluid.
  • Cleaning, adjusting, and lubricating the brake mechanisms.
  • Bleeding brake lines to remove excess air.

There are several actions you can take to improve the life of your brakes. Don’t carry too much weight. Don’t use heavy braking. Don’t drive in wet weather when possible.

Complete Brake   Repair

After years of normal wear and tear on your braking system, your vehicle will no longer have full stopping power. Hard stops during an emergency and stopping in the rain with worn brakes and rotors may prevent you from quickly stopping, leading to dangerous situations.

A complete brake and rotor replacement is not always needed. Depending on the condition of the rotor, there may be enough rotor material left, so that our certified technicians can resurface them instead of replacing them. The cost of resurfacing a rotor is far less expensive, and we understand the burden that costly repairs put upon a household.

A thorough inspection by our qualified team will show if brake pads, rotors, or both need to be replaced. We will always bring your best possible solution.

B-Tech Auto Diesel Mechanic offers the following brake repair for your diesel or petrol vehicle:

  • Inspection and repair or replacement of the drum brake assembly, including drums, shoes, brake lines, E-Brake system
  • Rotor and drum resurfacing
  • Inspection and repair or replacement of disc brake assembly, including rotors, pads, and calipers
